Move over Obama, Wossy for president: Jonathan Ross makes himself at home in the Oval Office

Could Jonathan Ross be about to give up his presenting job for a career in politics?

Making himself comfortable, the star was pictured conducting a phone call from the Oval Office - while Barack Obama posed happily with Ross's daughter.

However, Ross fans will be relieved to discover his show will go on as he was merely posing behind a waxwork of the U.S. President at Madame Tussauds.

Ross, who spent the day at the museum with daughter Honey today revealed on his blog page, Twitter: 'Just left Tussauds. Here I a! m with Honey plus one in the Oval Office!'

Ross has developed quite the following on Twitter and recently admitteed to striking up a bizarre friendship with Eminem after the rapper appeared on the programme last month.

Eminem was photographed leaving the TV star's Hampstead home, while Ross stood grinning in the doorway.

Ross revealed on Twitter that he had bonded with the 36-year-old singer over a mutual love of comics.

'Eminem came back to mine to look at comics,' he wrote. 'I have an awful lot of comics.

'I gave him Avengers#3 from my own collection. I knew he needed it. He's a big Marvel fan.'

But it was Ross's childish behaviour that got him into trouble in October last year and resulted in a three-month suspension by the BBC.

The chat show host was heavily criticised and forced to apologise after he and comedian Russell Brand left lewd messages ! on actor Andrew Sach's answer machine.

The messages were broadcast on Brand's Radio 2 show and prompted more than 45,000 complaints.
